Outdoor museum

The outdoor museum is located at the Changping Valley Visitor Centre in Siguniangshan town. It covers an indoor building area of 438 square meters and an outdoor area of approximately 600 square meters. It consists of three floors and six small pavilions, and was completed and put into use in June 2021. The Mt. Siguniang Outdoor Museum is a museum dedicated to introducing the rich outdoor resources and activities of Mt. Siguniang.

The entire museum revolves around the theme of "Humans and Mountains". In terms of content layout, it centers on the cultural stories of the Jiarong Tibetan residents and Mt. Siguniang, interspersed with the outdoor resources of Mt. Siguniang, the history of outdoor development, and mountain culture, showcasing the unique style of "the sacred mountain of the East, the paradise of the outdoors". In terms of architectural design, it adapts to local conditions, uses small elements to represent large ideas, retains the original style of the Jiarong Tibetan residences, replans functional zones, and integrates rich media means such as display boards, electronic screens, physical objects, and installations to three-dimensionally display the characteristic elements of the Jiarong Tibetan people and mountain outdoor activities, creating a Tibetan-style theme museum with a sense of experience and interactivity.
