Mt. Siguniang Geopark is characterized by the Paleo-Tethys Ocean Xikang-Group” Turbidite Flysch Formation, the Songpan-Garzê accretionary orogenic wedge, and the extremely high peaks on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The geopark showcases various geological sites, including typical stratigraphic sections, structural features, glacial landforms, fluvial landforms, hydrological landscapes, and geological hazards. The main geological heritage sites in the geopark can be categorized into 8 major types, totaling 60 sites. Among these, there are 3 international geological sites: the "Xikang-type" folds of the Songpan-Garzê Orogenic Belt, the Xikang-Group” Turbidite Flysch Formation, and the extremely high peaks of Mt. Siguniang. Additionally, there are 11 national-level geological sites.
